Workshop – Setting Intention 

A three hour mini yoga retreat

Align with your true purpose, find inspiration and set your intention.

 This is a Dynamic Hatha workshop aimed at shaping our  dreams into reality by following our intention. We explore how to bring openness,strength, flexibility and resolve into our lives, and make sustainable positive changes to our lives.

 Part 1

Discovering Sankalpa (intention): we begin by exploring our purpose. Participants are invited to write down their thoughts (not share!) in response to questions, to define their personal intention.

75 min Dynamic Hatha class with a focus on detoxing and finding inner strength. We practise techniques to bring awareness and intention into our daily lives.

10 minute meditation

Part 2

45 min Yin/Restorative yoga to find openness and relaxation.

30 min Yoga Nidra guided meditation to help us deeply absorb our intentions and plant the seed of our Sankalpa.

Workshop – Bringing Yoga to Everyday Life

Suggested cost £25 per student – contact Becky to book

This is a 3 hour workshop aimed at people who would like to find the time to practise yoga outside a class setting, but don’t know how to get started. It is suitable for all abilities and levels of yoga experience.

Practising in a Dynamic Hatha style, we will focus throughout the class on “takeaway tools” – ideas for weaving yoga throughout our day, whether we have 30 seconds, or 2, 5, 10 minutes or more. We will look at how we can make yoga accessible no matter where we are, and so reap the wonderful benefits that a regular practice has to offer. Students will receive a printed summary of tips as a memory-aid.

The workshop will finish with a delicious guided relaxation, leaving participants feeling calm yet energised, and inspired to begin making yoga a part of their everyday life.

Masterclass – Yoga for Runners and Athletic Recovery

Suggested cost £15 per student – contact Becky to book

This is a 2 hour class aimed at runners and gym-goers who would like to improve their flexibility, recovery and mental focus. It is suitable for all abilities and levels of yoga experience.

Practising in a Dynamic Hatha style, we will focus throughout the class on counteracting tightness in the muscles commonly affected by running, as well as building strength in the upper body which may have been neglected. Core and joint stability will also be addressed, so improving balance and technique.

The workshop will conclude with a guided relaxation aimed at learning to fully release muscular tension by isolating each muscle in turn, so improving the body’s own recovery.

Masterclass – Antidote to Modern Life!

Suggested cost £15 per student – contact Becky to book

This is a 2 hour class aimed at people who spend a lot of time sitting at desks, in cars, and dealing with the “always-on” stresses of  modern life. It is suitable for all abilities and levels of yoga experience.

Practising in a Dynamic Hatha style, we will focus throughout the class on counteracting the physical habits that our bodies adopt with this lifestyle. We will work with opening up the chest and front body, releasing tension in the shoulders, hips and lower back, as well as looking at ways to release tension and counteract stress throughout the working day.

The workshop will conclude with a guided relaxation aimed at finding mental space and relief from the chatter of a busy brain!

Learn to meditate

4 week course

We hear more and more about how meditation can make life easier and reduce stress in our fast paced world,but how do you get started? And what if you have no time?

On this course of four, hour long classes, you will learn how to bring the wonderful benefits of meditation into your everyday life in a time frame that is manageable for you.

We explore different styles of meditation and find the one that you most enjoy and feel comfortable with. We will work with developing your meditation at home during the four weeks, and explore your experiences and preferences. The goal is to make meditation both accessible and something to look forward to.

Week by week we will progress to a point where you feel confident in making your meditation practice part of everyday life and so can enjoy the many wonderful benefits it has to offer. Participants will receive a CD of Becky’s guided meditation at the end of the course.
