Cracking Breakfast Cranachan

Ohhhh, Cranachan. Raspberries, oats, honey…. and whipped cream and whisky. So bad and yet so good. So I decided to have it for breakfast.

No, I haven’t lost it and decided that morning booze is the way forward, I’m not that rock and roll! Instead, I’ve come up with a ‘go health’ alternative that is absolutely delicious, and will leave you feeling just a little sprightlier than the traditional version – I’ll keep that treat for Burns’ Night!

You’ll need…

A generous handful of raspberries

Greek yoghurt

Oats

Honey

Flaxseed oil

Maca powder

Sunflower and pumpkin seeds

Then you….

Put the raspberries into a large glass (you can use a bowl of course, but a goblet looks so pretty!)

In a separate bowl, mix a serving of yoghurt with about a teaspoon of flaxseed oil, a heaped teaspoon of maca, and a drizzle of honey.

Dollop the yoghurt mix over the berries, then top with a tablespoon of oats and a handful of seeds.

Done! Enjoy, and treat yourself to a wee Highland fling of happiness at the nutrient-dense deliciousness of it all!
